Field Trip and Transportation Safety

Before the Trip

On all field trips, campers sport a cool, KidsRock UV protective, rash guard style water shirt along with a color-coded wristband, these help with easy and quick identification (wristbands have the KidsRock logo & camp number). Prior to the beginning of each trip, KidsRock staff and campers review safety rules, designated home-base areas and the trip agenda. Camp T- Shirts are issued out on your child's first "Trip Day" of camp.

During the Trip

All of our trips are conducted in one of two formats “Group Trip” or “Station Trip”. Group Trips are where children experience the trip with their designated group and counselors. Station Trips are where staff are stationed in designated play zones and children are given the flexibility to explore those play zones.

Trip Resources

Information about all of our summer field trips is made available on our website for families to view and share with their child. We encourage parents to leverage this resource to stay informed on all the fun experiences your child will have over the summer with KidsRock! We return back to camp by 2:30p on all Fields Trips Days.

Water Safety

On all water related field trips KidsRock staff follows the KidsRock Watcher on Duty System (WOD).

Our WOD system instructs counselors to station themselves both inside and outside of the water, creating a perimeter around our campers to ensure safe swimming and play. In addition, KidsRock only attends lifeguard equipped pools and water parks and children in junior camp (ages 4 - 8) only swim in shallow areas of water.

Transportation Safety

KidsRock contracts with an local established bus company. Each and every trip begins and ends with safety. Staff  spread out through the bus to interact and supervised campers safely during travel. On our longer trips campers can enjoy bus songs, bus games and portable tablets to engage campers on the ride.
